Well the time is finally here!!!   I cannot believet that at this time tomorrow I will be at the hospital preparing for surgery.  I am busy this morning getting things cleaned up and arranged here at home so it won't be so hard on my husband with the 3 boys while I am gone.  I am so excited !!!  I just want to say that I have found so much support from each of your postings on this board.  I feel as if I know each and every one of you and that your experiences have also been my experiences.  Please say a little prayer for me.  I have never had any surgery or been put to sleep.  The only time I have ever been put in the hospital was for the birth of my children so I really don't know what to expect.  I have to be at Presby Main at 9:30 and my surgery is scheduled for 12:15.  Pray for me folks!  I love each of you! Yeah Pam! Tomorrow IS your day! Congratulations, you have come so far. You are right, this is an awesome site for support and insight, I'm not sure if I could have made it through without it. You will do just fine tomorrow. The only thing I can think of is that sometimes anesthesia makes me nauseated so I always get a shot of phenergan or reglan before I am woken up. You will have a chance to speak with your anesthesiologist before your surgery so you may want to let them know that you've never been put under general before. They will stsay n top of your pain and other needs. Best of luck, we'll see you on the other side...

I'l keep you in my prayers. Everything will be fine. Dr. Melkonian is the best. He did my surgery 2 weeks ago. I didn't have that much pain and felt pretty good. Just remember to get up and walk, walk, walk. It's hard at first, but it does get easier. I promise. I wish you the best of luck. You'll be fine. Your in good hands. PM if you need me or have any questions.                                                Tiffany

Pam, remember this everyday is your day! Tomorrow is your new birthday.  In March, I had my gall bladder removed, my first time under the knife and anesthesia.  I was nervous but I just like you will make it through.  I am sending blessings your way.  I have to tell you that currently there is nothing small or little about me so I will say "A BIG PRAYER"  on your behalf.  We will all be praying for you and your family.  Keep your head up! Pam, Being put to sleep is a piece of cake (sugar free, of course!!!)  It is the best sleep you will ever have!!!  It will seem like you are only asleep for 5 minutes!!!  It's great!!!  I, too, usually feel nauseated whenever I come out of anesthia but they have great drugs for that so if that happens to you don't hesitate to ask for something.  It's normal to be nervous but you are doing the best thing for you and your family by doing this.  I will definitely say lots of prayers for you for an uneventful surgery and a super smooth recovery.  I will also pray for peace for you to ease your fears.  God is good and He nevers leaves us to face things alone.

Please update us as soon as you possibly can.  We all love you too and are always here for you!!

Hugs, Donna
